C&R FFL handguns -- Still need county permit?

Postby nc8mm on Wed Apr 08, 2009 12:25 pm

I have a C&R FFL. Anyone know if the county pistol permit is still required if you are FFL licensed to order C&R handguns? Doens't seem like it would be but I don't want to be wrong on this.

I would check with the ATF. But I do not think your need one since you are the FFL and you have to log the firearm in the books.

Thanks for the reply. I think I may write the Sheriff. That way I would have something in writing. When I find out for sure I'll post back here.

If the firearm in question qualifies as C&R and you have a C&R class license, then no need for the extra hands on your property. Remember, many law enforcement personnell enforce their opinions more often than they do the law.
